On the occasion of Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Fareed’s Urs, a weekly Ijtimah organized by Dawat-e-Islami will take place on October 10th in Kot Mithan. Haji Muhammad Azhar Attari, a member of Dawat-e-Islami Markazi Majlis e Shura, will deliver a special speech.
Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Fareed رحمة الله عليه, a revered Sufi poet from Kot Mithan, Punjab, is historically known by the name Khursheed Alam, meaning the Sun of the Entire World. His name shines brightly across the globe through his poetry and spiritual teachings. Known as a "Seven-Language Poet," he was a master of seven languages and used his Sufi poetry to reveal the secrets and realities of divine oneness to the world. A secluded saint, Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Fareed distanced himself from worldly affairs, devoting his life to worship, meditation, and spiritual struggles. His poetry reflects themes of self-annihilation in the path of true love for Allah.
His Urs has been observed for many years in the Islamic month of Rabi' al-Thani. To spread Islamic teachings on this special occasion, Dawat-e-Islami will host a spiritual gathering on October 10th at Zeeshan Marriage Hall, near the railway crossing in Kot Mithan Sharif. The event will feature a special address by Haji Muhammad Azhar Attari, a member of Dawat-e-Islami’s Executive Advisory Council. The gathering will take place after Isha prayers on Thursday, October 10th.
We encourage everyone to attend this blessed gathering, participate in offering Isal-e-Sawab (conveyance of rewards) to Hazrat Khwaja Ghulam Fareed رحمة الله عليه, and benefit from the Islamic teachings shared during the event.
