Imam Malik full name is Imam Malik Bin Anas. The actual name of the great leader of millions of Malikis, is ‘Malik’ and his Kunyah is ‘Abu Abdullah.’ He is a well-known Imam from among the four Mujtahid Imams and a Taba’ Taabi’i. According to the dominant opinion, his birth took place in Madinah, in 93 AH. Also, Imam Malik grave is in Madinah, this is where he passed.
Imam Malik was born in the blessed city of Medina. He رضی اللہ عنہ came from a family deeply rooted in Islamic knowledge. His grandfather was a Companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and his family's devotion to scholarship set the foundation for Imam Malik's رضی اللہ عنہ future endeavors. Growing up in Medina, the city that was home to the Masjid Nabawi, young Imam Malik رضی اللہ عنہ was immersed in an environment of learning and spirituality.

Whenever anyone mentioned anything about the Greatest Prophet ﷺ – the complexion [i.e. the colour of the face] of Sayyiduna Imam Maalik رضی اللہ عنہ would change. He would show deep reverence for the Beloved Prophet ﷺ. One day, he was asked about it, so he replied, ‘If you had seen what I see, you would not have asked about it.’ (Ash-Shifa, vol. 2, pp. 41-42)
Imam Malik Ibn Anas رضی اللہ عنہ is that scholar about whom the Messenger of Allah Almighty gave glad tidings. Hence, Imam Muhammad Bin Isa Tirmizi رضی اللہ عنہ narrates the following hadith in his book, ‘Jami’ Tirmizi’. ‘Soon, people will travel swiftly in search of knowledge, but they will not find anyone more knowledgeable than the scholar of Madinah.’ (Tirmizi, vol. 4, p. 311, Hadith 2689, extracted)

Sayyiduna Imam Malik رضی اللہ عنہ, a great leader of millions of Malikis, was a great devotee of Rasool. He would tolerate everything relating to himself, but whenever he would find anyone committing disrespect by raising his voice in blessed Masjid Nabawi he would become angry out of faith and would not keep quiet on that person’s terrible deed. Presenting him the call towards righteousness immediately he would remind him of the manners of the blessed court of Risalat as it is the sacred place whose manners Allah Almighty has stated in His Holy Book.
