Book Name:Durood-o-Salaam Kay Fazail
term medical treatment, but did not respond well to it. Extremely upset and disappointed I thought I should write a Qasidah in the glory of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and should make Du’a for my recovery to Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ through its mediation. By the grace of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ I succeeded. I started writing Qasidah (Burdah Sharif). As I finished the Qasidah I went to sleep. My eyes closed and the eyes of my heart opened. Fortune smiled on me and I saw the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم came in my dream. He صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم moved his blessed hand over my body and put his blessed chador (Burdah) over my body. By virtue of its blessing I recovered immediately. When I awoke I found that I was able to stand and move. (‘Aseedat-us-Shuhada, pp. 37; summarized) Let’s recite some couplets of the Qasidah Burdah together for attaining blessings:
Dear Islamic brothers! Have you noticed! The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم cannot see the troubles of his followers; he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم immediately reaches to help his afflicted followers. Therefore we should also recite Salat upon our Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم all the time whether it is day or night. We should not become negligent in it because the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has countless favours upon us. The Holy Nabi صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم performed Sajdah (prostration) as he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم came into this world and made this Du’a: ‘رَبِّ ھَبْ لِیْ اُمَّتِی’ i.e. O Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ! Forgive my Ummah.

Imam Zurqaani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has narrated, ‘On that time, he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was lifting his fingers up as the person [who bewails] does.
