Get married

Dear Islamic brothers! The blessed companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم had such a passion for the obedience to the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم that they would follow every command of the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

Therefore, Sayyiduna Rabee’ah Aslami رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ has narrated that I had the privilege of serving the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. One day, the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘O Rabee’ah, why don’t you get married?’ I humbly said, ‘Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! I do not want to get married because firstly, I do not have sufficient wealth and means to fulfil the needs of a woman and secondly, I do not like the fact that anything takes me away from you.’

The Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم avoided me and I continued to serve him. After some time, he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said again, ‘Rabee’ah, why don’t you get married?’ I humbly said, ‘Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! I do not want to get married as firstly, I do not have sufficient wealth and means to fulfil the needs of a woman and secondly, I do not like the fact that anything takes me away from you.’ The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم avoided me, but then I thought that the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم knows better than me as       to what is better for me in this world and the Hereafter. Now if the         Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم says this to me, I will say, ok, Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, command me whatever you like.
