Ikhtiyarat-e-Mustafa (12Shab)

Book Name:Ikhtiyarat-e-Mustafa (12Shab)

A person came to the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and humbly said: I wish to have faith in you, but I am habitual of drinking wine, fornication, stealing and telling lies. People say that you have declared these things to be Haraam. I cannot give up all these (at once), however, if you agree to it that I should give up any one of these evils, I am ready to have faith in you. The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied: ‘You stop telling lies.’ He accepted this thing and embraced Islam. When he left the blessed court of the Beloved Rasool  صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, (and went somewhere else) he was offered wine. He thought that if he drank wine and the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم asked him about his drinking wine and he told a lie, it would be the act of breaking a promise and if he spoke the truth, he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would punish him as per Shari’ah. Therefore he stopped drinking wine. He then had a chance to fornicate, so the same thought entered in his mind, he, therefore, gave up this sin too. In the same way, he left the theft too. He then went to the Holy Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and humbly said: Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! You did very good to stop me from telling lies and it has stopped me from all the sins. Afterward, that person repented of all his sins.

Dear Islamic brothers! From all the parables regarding the blessed powers of Beloved Mustafa صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم mentioned above, the great status of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم which Allah Almighty has given to him can be judged very well as after establishing the laws of Shari’ah, complete powers of those laws have been handed over to him.

A renowned Muhaddis, Sayyiduna Shaykh ‘Abdul Haq Muhaddis Dihlvi             رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has said: Authentic and adopted opinion is this: Islamic laws are handed over to the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم can permit anyone to do what he صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم wills, declare one thing to be Haraam (prohibited) for one person and declares the same permissible for the other person.
