Claim in Divine court

Sayyiduna Faqeeh Abul Lays Samarqandi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ تَـعَـالٰی عَـلَيْـه has narrated: Those who are related to a man are first of all his wife and then his children. All of them (i.e. wife and children on the Judgement Day) will humbly say in the court of Allah Almighty, ‘O our Lord عَزَّوَجَلَّ! Make this person give us our rights because he never gave us the education of religious matters, and he provided us with Haraam sustenance and we were unaware of it.’ The person will then be beaten so severely for earning Haraam sustenance that his flesh will come off his bones. He then will be brought to the scale [i.e. Meezan] where angels will bring his good deeds equivalent to a mountain. Then, one of his family members will step forward and say, ‘My virtuous deeds are few’ so he will take some of his good deeds. Then another person from his family will come and say, ‘You provided me sustenance from usury [i.e. interest]’, and he will also take some of his good deeds. In this way, his family members will take all of his good deeds. Then he will say turning his face towards his wife and children in despair, ‘Alas! Now I have the burden of those sins and acts of cruelty which I committed for you.’ Angels will say, ‘He is the unfortunate person whose family has taken all of his good deeds and he has entered Hell because of them.’ (Qurra-tul-‘Uyoon, pp. 401)

Dear Islamic brothers! Just ponder! How unfortunate the person will be whose own family members will take all of his good deeds, leaving him empty-handed. Therefore, considering this opportunity to be sufficient we should wake up to the fact. Obeying Allah Almighty and His Beloved Rasool       صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم we should give religious upbringing to our children. They should be taught how to recite the Holy Quran, Islamic manners, Wudu and Ghusl, about purity and impurity, etc. We should also make efforts to improve their manners. They should be taught the love of Allah Almighty and the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم; they should be made to ponder over the Hereafter; they should be made to prepare for death; they should be told about different sins and also be protected from those sins.

The Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has already pointed out that there will be a time when it will be very difficult to act upon Sunnah, remain steadfast in religion and remain patient on the hardships in this path. Let’s listen to two
