٭ Keep the body of the female deceased covered with a shawl from the time of lowering her into the grave to the time of placing planks over her grave.

٭ Recite the following Du’a while lowering the deceased into the grave:

بِسْمِ اللہِ وَبِاللہِ وَعَلٰی مِلَّۃِ  رَسُوْلِ اللہ

(Tanveer-ul-Absaar, vol. 3, pp. 166)

٭ Lay the deceased on his right side and turn his face towards the Qiblah. Moreover, open the knots of the shroud as it is not required anymore. There is no harm even if they are not opened. (Fatawa Hindiyyah, vol. 1, pp. 166; Jorah, pp. 140)

٭ The person undoing the knot of the shroud should recite the following Du’a:

اَللّٰہُمَّ لَا تَحْرِمْنَا اَجْرَہٗ وَلَا تَفْتِنَّا بَعْدَہٗ

 i.e. ‘O Allah Almighty! Do not deprive us of its reward and do not make us fall prey to Fitnah after this.’ (Haashiyah-tut-Tahtaawi, pp. 609)

Remaining etiquette of grave and burial will be mentioned in the Tarbiyyati Halqahs [learning circles]. Therefore, do attend the Tarbiyyati Halqahs in order to learn them.
