O Devotees of Rasool! The remembrance of Madinah brings about a smile on the faces of the Devotees of Rasool, the devotees of Madina, the hearts get excited out of happiness, the environment turns blissful, tears of joy fall from the eyes of some people, the lovers of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم crave due to separation from Madinah and the words ‘Madinah Madinah’ come out from the lips enthusiastically in a state of eagerness. The extent of the glory and virtue of Madinah can be understood from the fact that the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, whom we love deeply, himself greatly loved the city of Madinah. Therefore, the prerequisite of the love of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is this that we should not only love the city of Madinah, rather, our hearts should be embedded with the love of every corner and market of Madinah, gardens and deserts of Madinah, doors and walls of Madinah, flowers of Madinah and even the thorns of Madinah.

We should be restless in longing for it and not only wish for respectful visit to Madinah but pray to Allah Almighty for it as well. Let’s hear about the virtues, specialities and some sacred places of Madinah. But first, let’s hear a faith enlightening parable:

Visitor of the Prophet’s صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم court was forgiven

Hadrat Sayyiduna Muhammad Bin Harb Hilaali رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states: ‘Once, I was present in the Court of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم when an Arab villager also came and requested in the following manner: “O Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! The true Book which Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ has revealed upon you has the following verses from Surah Nisa, Para 5 within it:

وَ لَوْ اَنَّهُمْ اِذْ ظَّلَمُوْۤا اَنْفُسَهُمْ جَآءُوْكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا اللّٰهَ وَ اسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُوْلُ لَوَجَدُوا اللّٰهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِیْمًا(۶۴)

Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: And if when they do injustice to their own souls (by committing sins), then O Beloved, they should come to your august court, and then seek forgiveness from Allah, and the Messenger intercedes for
