Benefits and blessings of a good company

Dear Islamic brothers! Let’s be privileged to hear about a few benefits and blessings of a good company. First, let’s go through 2 blessed sayings of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

1. He صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: اَلْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ اَحَبَّ i.e. A man will be with the one whom he loves. (Sahih Muslim, pp. 1088, Hadees 6718)

2. He صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: اَلْمَرْءُ عَلٰی دِیْنِ خَلِیْلِہِ فَلْیَنْظُرْ اَحَدُکُمْ مَنْ یُّخَالِلُ i.e. A man is on the Deen of his friend. Therefore, it is important for him to see whom he befriends with. (Musnad-e-Imam Ahmad, Musnad Abu Hurayrah, vol. 3, pp. 233, Hadees 8425)

 ٭Example of a good and bad companion is like a perfume seller and a blacksmith. A perfume seller will either himself give the perfume to you, or you will buy some from him, or you will get a good fragrance from him; and a blacksmith will either burn your clothes or you will get foul smell from him. (Muslim, pp. 1084, Hadees 6692)
