Similarly, when the name of Mufti Muhammad Farooq Attari رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was mentioned in the international Sunnah-inspiring Ijtima in the capacity of Rukn-e-Shura for the first time, he was a Nigran at a local advisory level at that time. When people began to congratulate him, he said, “Mufti Farooq has been mentioned. He may be someone else (as I am not a Mufti).”       (Mufti Dawat-e-Islami, pp. 56)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب              صَلَّى اللّٰهُ  عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic sisters! We should try to develop humility in our lives after listening to the biography of Mufti-e-Dawat-e-Islami رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه. The one expressing humility is lowering herself apparently, but actually, she is elevating her status. There are many blessed sayings of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم where we have been asked to adopt humility. Let’s listen to 3 blessed sayings of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم with the intention to adopt humility within ourselves:

   ۔1The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated: “Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ elevates the honour of the person who forgives other people and the person who adopts humility for the sake of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ grants him elevation.” (Muslim, pp. 1071, Hadees 2588)

   ۔2The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated: “Every person has 2 Angels with him, and a rein through which he is stopped. So, if he heightens his self, the angels pull the rein and pray, “O Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ! Grant him inferiority.” And if he makes his ego inferior, then the angels pray, “O Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ! Grant him elevation.” (Mu’jam Kabeer, vol. 12, pp. 218, Hadees 12939)

   ۔3The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated: “There is glad tidings for that person who expresses humility even when he is not needy and does not spend his money in sinful things.” (Shu’ab-ul-Iman, vol. 3, pp. 225, Hadees 3388)
