and congratulated him on his exalted visit. On travelling between each heaven, the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم witnessed the wonders of each one until reaching the ‘Muqarrab’ Angels (who have a special nearness to Allah Almighty) at the final stage, Sidrat-ul-Muntaha. Even any of the ‘Muqarrab’ Angels do not have the authority to exceed this point, and so for this reason Sayyiduna Jibraeel عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام excused himself for not being able to proceed forward together and halted there. Then the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم attained advancements in the station of special proximity and reached that most dignified proximity which cannot even be conceived by anyone from the creation. There, the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was bestowed with distinct blessings and mercies, and he صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was honoured with unique favours. He attained the kingship of the Heavens and the Earth, and knowledge which is even greater than the Heavens and the Earth. Salah became obligatory for the Ummah, the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم interceded for some of the sinners, he witnessed Paradise and Hell, and then returned back to his abode in the world. Dear Islamic brothers! The incident of Mi`raj is an incident which refreshes our faith, and warms the hearts of the Prophet’s devotees. It leads to an increase in love for the special guest of Allah, and teaches us about the rank and status of the kind and merciful Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. We also learn from the mentioned incident that all the Prophets of Allah are alive in their graves, that all Prophets even after their apparent demise can travel wherever they wish, that Allah is powerful over everything, that Allah does whatever He wills, and that the status of our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in the court of Allah is the greatest of all of creation.

There are many wisdoms in every aspect of the incident of Mi`raj. Hakim-ul-Ummah Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Na’eemi رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه has explained many of these wisdoms. Here of 3 of them:

First Wisdom

(1) All of the miracles and ranks that have been bestowed individually to the Noble Prophets عَـلَـيْهِمُ السَّلَام, and even more (i.e. many additional miracles), have been bestowed to the Blessed Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. For example, Sayyiduna
