Sayyidatuna ‘Aaishah Siddiqah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا stated, ‘The Greatest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم used to observe fasts for the whole of Sha’ban.’ She رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ further said: I asked Ya Rasoolallah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Is Sha’ban your favourite month for observing fasts?’ The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, Allah Almighty inscribes the name of every person destined to die in that year and I love that at the time of my passing away I am in the state of fasting.’ (Musnad-e-Abi Ya’la, Musnad-e-‘Aaishah, vol. 4, pp. 277, Hadees 4890)

May Allah Almighty, by the blessings of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, give us the ability to keep tomorrow’s optional fast and the fasts of Sha’ban, and then all the fasts of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak. May we be successful in completing the I’tikaf of the whole of Ramadan, or the last 10 days of Ramadan! May we have the ability to gather as many donations with good intentions! اٰمِــيْن بِـجَـاهِ الـنَّـبِـیِّ الْاَمِــيْن صَلَّى اللهُ  عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب           صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
