Report on I'tikaf of Ramadan 2025

Hundreds of Muslims Observed a Month-Long I'tikaf at 29 Locations Under Dawat-e-Islami in Ramadan 2025

To fully dedicate themselves to worship and spiritual purification during the sacred month of Ramadan 2025, hundreds of devout Muslims observed a one-month I'tikaf at 29 locations across Pakistan under the auspices of Dawat-e-Islami. Besides the Global Madani Markaz Faizan-e-Madina in Karachi, 28 other locations in various cities provided a serene environment for worshippers to immerse themselves in devotion, following a structured schedule rooted in Islamic traditions and the teachings of pious predecessors.

Stepping away from worldly distractions such as material pursuits, household responsibilities, social gatherings, and financial concerns, thousands of believers sought spiritual purification by dedicating themselves solely to the remembrance of Allah. Through sincere repentance and supplication, they aimed to cleanse their hearts from sins, yearning for both outward and inward reformation. Across Pakistan, numerous Muslims participated in this sacred practice at Faizan-e-Madina and other religious centers and mosques of Dawat-e-Islami.

The month-long I'tikaf not only allowed devotees to embrace the blessings of Ramadan but also provided an opportunity to acquire Islamic knowledge. With a well-organized schedule, they learned the Sunnah methods of worship, refined their acts of devotion, and worked on both physical and spiritual purification. Every year, a large number of people flock to Faizan-e-Madina, Karachi, to spend the entire month of Ramadan in worship and learning, cherishing the spiritual atmosphere of this blessed month.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this I'tikaf is the presence of Shaykh-e-Tariqat, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Hazrat Allama Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri. Despite his advanced age, he personally imparts knowledge to the participants, guiding them in their spiritual, moral, and religious development. The preachers of Dawat-e-Islami individually help attendees in learning the correct recitation of the Quran with proper Tajweed, perfecting their prayers according to the Sunnah, and improving their character by addressing moral shortcomings. The atmosphere is filled with repentance, supplications, and heartfelt prayers, seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

Under the mentorship of Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, the I'tikaf becomes a means of self-discipline and spiritual upliftment, dispelling ignorance through the light of Islamic knowledge. As the month of Ramadan comes to an end, the emotional state of the participants is profound—many are overwhelmed with sorrow at the departure of this sacred month. Having undergone spiritual transformation, they return to their homes as reformed individuals, embodying the qualities of piety and righteousness.
