Har Tarha Ka Nasha Haram Hay

Book Name:Har Tarha Ka Nasha Haram Hay

collection of many medical and social defects and evils from a worldly and religious perspective.

Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ has stated in the Holy Quran:

O People who Believe! Wine (all intoxicants), and gambling, and idols, and the darts are impure - the works of Satan, therefore keep avoiding them so that you may succeed.

[Kanz-ul-Iman (Translation of Quran)] (Part 7, Surah Al-Mai’dah, Ayah 90)

The curse of intoxication can be judged by this that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ has even forbidden us from going near the great worship like Salah whilst in the state of intoxication. It is stated:

یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَقۡرَبُوا الصَّلٰوۃَ وَ اَنۡتُمۡ سُکٰرٰی

O People who Believe! Do not approach the prayer when you are intoxicated.

[Kanz-ul-Iman (Translation of Quran)] (Part 5, Surah An-Nisa, Ayah 43)

Intoxicating things have been strictly forbidden in many blessed Ahadees in addition to the Holy Quran. Let’s listen to 4 blessed Ahadees in this regard:

1.         Umm-ul-Mu`mineen, Sayyidatuna Umm-e-Salamah رَضِیَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَنْهَا has said:
نھٰی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْہِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ كُلِّ مُسْكِرٍ وَمُفَتِّرٍ, i.e. the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has forbidden everything that brings about intoxication and creates disturbance. (Sunan Abi Dawood, vol. 3, pp. 461, Hadees 3686)
