Book Name:Yaad e Ilahi Aur Is Kay Tarika

a moment alone, we grab our phones and become lost in the worlds of Facebook or YouTube. If only we cared about performing good deeds! We should all do an abundance of good deeds as much as possible. Alongside this, we should remember Allah greatly, as this is how we attain distinction.

Command of the Quran to remember Allah

Allah states in the Quran:

یٰۤاَیُّہَاالَّذِیۡنَ  اٰمَنُوا اذۡکُرُوا اللّٰہَ  ذِکۡرًا کَثِیۡرًا(ۙ۴۱)

Translation from Kanz al-Īmān: O believers! Remember Allah abundantly.[1]

The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: “Remember Allah in abundance, such that people call you insane.”[2]

The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, لَایَزَالُ لِسَانُکَ رَطْبًا مِّنْ ذِکْرِ اللّٰہِ عَزَّوَ جَلَّ - “Always keep your tongue moist with the dhikr of Allah.”[3]

Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān Naʿīmi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه comments beautifully on this hadith by saying:
