Shoq e Hajj

Book Name:Shoq e Hajj

Another blessed hadith explains:

وَاِنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوهٗ غَفَرَ لَهُمْ الْحُجَّاجُ وَالْعُمَّارُ، وَفْدُ اللَّهِ اِنْ دَعَوْهُ اَجَابَهُمْ

Those who perform ḥajj and Ꜥumrah are the delegation of Allah. If they make duʿā to Him, He accepts it. If they seek forgiveness, He forgives them. [1]

In a hadith narrated by the Companion ꜤAbdullāh bin ꜤUmar رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ, Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

When you meet a ḥajj pilgrim, greet him with salaam, shake hands with him and ask him to pray for your forgiveness before he reaches his home, as indeed, he is already forgiven.[2]

Prophetic knowledge of the unseen

Imam Ibn Ḥibbān explains:

An Anṣārī Companion came to the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and wanted to ask certain questions. The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم beautifully said, “You may ask me if you wish, or I myself can tell you your question and its answer.”

“O Messenger of Allah!”, the Companion exclaimed, “Kindly inform me of what I came to ask.”

The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم revealed, “You wanted to ask, ‘What reward does a ḥajj pilgrim earn when he leaves his home, when he takes up stay at ʿArafah, when he throws stones at the Jamarāt, when he shaves his head, and when he performs the final ṭawāf?’”
