As per the schedule of Dawat-e-Islami’s weekly gathering, we shall now memorise a duꜤaˈ. This week, we shall learn the duꜤaˈ to be recited when thanking somebody.

جَزَاکَ  اللّٰہ   خَیْرًا^[1]

May Allah Almighty give you goodness.

This short phrase contains acknowledgement that bounties and blessings are from Allah Almighty, highlights one’s humility, and it itself is a prayer for goodness to be given to another. This is the real meaning behind thanking somebody.^[2]

A hadith explains that the one who is not grateful to people, is not grateful to Allah Almighty.^[3]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Saying of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم: Pondering (over the Hereafter) for a moment is better than the worship of 60 years.^[4]
