اَلۡـحَـمۡـدُ   لِـلّٰـہِ  رَبِّ  الۡـعٰـلَـمِیۡنَ   وَ  الـصَّـلٰـوۃُ   وَ  الـسَّـلَامُ  عَـلٰی   سَـیِّـدِ   الۡـمُـرۡ  سَـلِـیۡنَ

اَمَّـا  بَــعۡـدُ   فَـاَعُـوۡذُ   بِـا لـلّٰـہِ   مِـنَ   الـشَّـیۡـطٰنِ   الـرَّجِیۡمِؕ    بِـسۡمِ   الـلّٰـہِ   الـرَّحۡـمٰنِ   الـرَّحِـیۡمِؕ

Rights of the People

نَوَيۡتُ سُنَّتَ الۡاِعۡتِكَافِ

Translation: I have made the intention of Sunnah I’tikaf.

Whenever you enter a Masjid, upon remembering, make the intention of Nafl I’tikaf because as long as you stay in the Masjid you will keep obtaining the reward of Nafl (supererogatory) I’tikaf, and eating, drinking and sleeping will also become permissible for you in the Masjid.

By Allah! The Beloved Rasul صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم listens!

The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said: Undoubtedly, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ has appointed an angel to my grave who has been granted the ability to hear the voice of every creature. Therefore, whosoever [continues] reciting Salat upon me until the Day of Judgement, he [the angel] presents to me that person’s name along with his father’s name [and] says, this time the son of so-and-so has recited Salat upon you.’ (Al-Musnad-uz-Bazzaar, vol. 4, pp. 255, Hadees 1425)

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه عَزَّوَجَلَّ! How fortunate indeed is the one who recites Salat (Durood) that his name along with his father’s name is presented in the blessed court of the Noblest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
