for this major sins meeting the Shar’i rulings before this sacred night of Layla-tul-Qadr is passed otherwise the torment of Hell is unbearable.

The Beloved and Blessed Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: In the night of Mi’raaj, I passed by such people whose stomachs were like houses with snakes in them which were also visible from the outside of their stomachs. I asked Jibra`eel (عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام), ‘Who are these people?’ He replied, ‘They used to take interest.’ (Sunan Ibn Majah, vol. 3, pp. 72, Hadees 2273)
