Du’a at the time of making true repentance

اَللّٰهُمَّ  مَغْفِرَتُكَ  اَوْسَعُ  مِنْ ذُنُوْبِی، وَ رَحْمَتُكَ  اَرْجَى  عِنْدِی  مِنْ  عَمَلِی

Translation: O Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ! Your forgiveness is far more than my sins and I have more hope to Your mercy than to my deeds.

(Al-Mustadrak, vol. 2, pp. 238, Hadees 2038)

Summary of speech

Dear Islamic brothers! In today’s speech, we have heard that:

٭ Righteous bondmen of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ tremble with Divine fear.

٭ Those who have Divine fear are the beloveds of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.

٭ Divine fear is the source of salvation from Hell.

٭ Everything feels frightened of the person having Divine fear.

٭ In addition, we have heard that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ accepts the repentance of those who repent.

٭ Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ is very pleased by the repentance of His bondman.

May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ also bless us with Divine fear and enable us to make true repentance!

اٰمِيۡن بِجَاهِ النَّبِيِّ الۡاَمِيۡن صَلَّى اللّٰهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيۡهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

Dear Islamic brothers! In conclusion, I would like to take the opportunity to mention the excellence of Sunnah as well as some Sunan and manners. The Rasool of Rahmah, the Intercessor of the Ummah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, ‘Whoever loves my Sunnah, loves me, and whoever loves me will be with me in Jannah.’ (Ibn ‘Asakir, vol. 9, pp. 343)
