Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: ‘O my Lord! Keep me as one who establishes prayer, and some of my descendants; O our Lord! and accept my prayer.’
(Surah Ibraheem, part: 13, Ayah 40)
Dear Islamic sisters! Have you seen that, in spite of being a chosen Nabi, Sayyiduna Ibraheem عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام is praying for himself and his offspring? Therefore, keeping in mind the importance of Salah, we should not only perform Salah five times but also persuade our sane children to do so. It has been commanded in Blessed Hadees that the Blessed and Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم had stated, ‘Command your children to offer Salah when they become seven years old, and discipline them for it (if still they refuse to offer Salah) when they become ten years old.’
(Abu Dawood, Book of Salah, Hadees 498, vol. 01, pp. 208)
Numerous glad tidings and virtues of Salah have been stated in the Holy Quran and Blessed Ahadees for those who offer Salah. Let’s listen to two Divine sayings for making minds to offer Salah regularly and acquiring knowledge of Deen.
Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: And those who keep the prayer established and those who pay the charity, and those who believe in Allah and the Last Day; to such, We shall soon bestow a great reward. (Part 6, Surah An-Nisa, Ayah 162)
