Salah washes away sins

The Blessed and Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated, ‘If any of you have stream in your courtyard, he takes Ghusl five times in it, would he have any dirt left on him?’ The People said, ‘No dirt would remain on him.’ The Blessed Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم then said, ‘Salah wipes away the sins as water washes away dirt.’

Dear Islamic sisters! How lucky are those who perform Salah, indeed the rain of blessings washes away their sins, blessings of Salah forgive the past        sins and one keeps away from immoral activities and sins in future as well. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ says in Quran:

اِنَّ الصَّلٰوةَ تَنْهٰى عَنِ الْفَحْشَآءِ وَ الْمُنْكَرِؕ

Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: ‘Indeed the prayer stops from indecency and evil’. (Al-Ankaboot, Ayah 45)

Dear Islamic sisters! Ponder for a moment that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ says, ‘Indeed the prayer stops from indecency and evil.’ So, why do not we refrain from Haram, sinful and Haram (forbidden acts in Shari’ah) activities despite performing Salah, we disobey parents despite performing Salah; we are indulged in immodesty and unveiling leading to evil sightedness despite performing Salah; we watch movies and dramas, listen to music and songs despite performing Salah; an endless process of falling speedily into the incomprehensible depth of sins is continued by misusing mobile phones, internet and social media despite performing Salah; speaking abusive language, backbiting, tale-telling, taking and giving interest, bribe, hurting people, using foul language etc., are booming in our society despite performing Salah. Why is it happening so despite performing Salah?

There is no doubt at all that the aforementioned blessed saying of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, is undeniably true. Those who offer Salah, should certainly avoid sins. So what is the reason behind adopting un-Islamic culture and immoral fashions? Why do not our hearts get inclined towards adopting Sunnah?
