Asma ul Husna (ALLAH Pak Ke Pyare Naam)

Book Name:Asma ul Husna (ALLAH Pak Ke Pyare Naam)

Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khan NaꜤīmī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه comments on this hadith by saying, “A Muslim who memorises these names and recites them daily will enter Paradise first.”[1]

سُبْحٰنَ اللہ How beautiful is this? Usually, these 99 names are written at the beginning of copies of the Quran. They can be memorised from there.

If we memorise just 10 each day, we will have learnt all of them in only 10 days. اِنْ شَآءَ اللہُ الْکَرِیْم By the blessings of this, we will enter Paradise.

Knowing Allah through His names

Dear Islamic brothers! Another blessing of beautiful names of Allah is that they lead a person to the recognition of Allah. The Proof of Islam, Imam Muḥammad al-Ghazālī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه explains, “There is one path for creation to attain the recognition of Allah in this world, and that is the acquisition of knowledge relating to Allah’s الْاَسْمَآءُ الْحُسْنٰی  and divine attributes.”[2]

In fact, scholars even say, “For whoever Allah selects for sainthood and wills to grant عِلْمِ لَدُنِّی, He first of all bestows him with knowledge of the 99 الْاَسْمَآءُ الْحُسْنٰی.”[3]

Imam Abū Qāsim al-Qushayrī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه writes, “Allah illuminates in this world and the next the name of the person who attains knowledge of the الْاَسْمَآءُ الْحُسْنٰی.”[4]

May Allah grant us knowledge of His الْاَسْمَآءُ الْحُسْنٰی.
