Shaykh Aḥmad Ṣāwīرَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه  reports from some saints of Islam, that by reciting this ṣalāt once, a person attains the reward of reciting ṣalāt 600,000 times.^[1]

5. Being close to the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

اَللّٰھُمَّ  صَلِّ  عَلٰی  مُحَمَّدٍ  کَمَا   تُحِبُّ  وَ  تَرضٰی  لَہٗ

Once, a person came to the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Amazingly, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم made this person sit between himself and Sayyiduna Abū Bakr Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ.

The Companions عَلَیْہِمُ الرِّضْوَان  were surprised as to who this honoured person was. When he left, the Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  explained, “When he recites ṣalāt upon me, he does so in these words.”^[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

6. The ṣalāt of intercession

اَللّٰہُمَّ  صَلِّ  عَلٰی  مُحَمَّدٍ  وَّ  اَنْزِلْہُ  الْمَقْعَدَ الْمُقَرَّبَ  عِنْدَكَ  یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَۃِ

The final Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  has stated: “My intercession becomes wājib for whoever recites ṣalāt like this.”^[3]
