Good news
The Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ gave her the good news of martyrdom in his blessed life. Sayyiduna Anas Bin Maalik رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ has said: The Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ would go to Umm-e-Haraam Bint Milhaan. She رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہا would serve food to the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ . Once, the Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ went to her and took rest and after some time he صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ woke up smilingly. Why are you smiling?’ He صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ replied, ‘I have just had a dream in which I saw some Mujahideen of my Ummah going for Jihad sitting in boats in the sea in a way as kings sit on their thrones.’ Make Du’a that Allah Almighty may include me in these Mujahideen.’ The Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ made Du’a for her and then slept. He صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ woke up smilingly again and mentioned the same dream. Make Du’a that I may remain included in these Mujahideen.’ The Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ replied, ‘You will be in the row of the first Mujahideen.’ (Sahih Bukhari, vol. 2, pp. 275, Hadees 2877, 2878)
Incident of her martyrdom in the battle of Cyprus
Our Beloved Rasool صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ had already given the news of her martyrdom. In 27 AH, during the reign of Sayyiduna ‘Usman-e-Ghani رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ , a naval battle was fought under the supervision of Sayyiduna Ameer Mu’awiyah رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ in which she رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہا along with her husband, Sayyiduna ‘Ubadah Bin Saamit رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہُ , made a sea voyage to Cyprus. After the conquest of Cyprus when she was returning, a mule was brought for her conveyance. She رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہا mounted the mule and got martyred by falling from it. After martyrdom in Cyprus, she رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہا was laid to rest there. (Asad-ul-Ghaabah, vol. 7, pp. 343)
Her shrine and the belief of the people of Cyprus
Allamah ‘Ayni has mentioned: The people of Cyprus have great reverence for her shrine and make Du’a for rain through her Wasilah (sake) and say, ‘It is a shrine of a righteous woman’. (‘Umda-tul-Qaari, vol. 10, pp. 88, Taht-al-Hadees: 2788)
May Allah Almighty have mercy on her and forgive us without any accountability for her sake!
