Glowing aspects of Islamic guidelines about business

Dear Islamic brothers! Business is a noble profession and it is also a beloved Sunnah of the blessed Prophets عَـلَـيْهِمُ السَّلَام. This beautiful Sunnah is full of blessings. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه! There are clear rulings in Islam pertaining to running a business in a correct way.

So, if those engaged in the profession of business would run their business after learning these rulings, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه they will attain an abundance of goodness and blessings in this world and the hereafter. Let us listen to two blessed sayings of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم regarding it:

1. Undoubtedly! Out of sins, there are some sins which can only be erased by the urge for sustenance. (Mu’jam-e-Awsat, vol. 1, pp. 42, Hadees 102)

2. A truthful and trustworthy businessman will be with the blessed Prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ وَالـسَّـلَام Siddiqeen and martyrs رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه (on Judgement Day). (Tirmizi, vol. 3, pp. 5, Hadees 1213)

Commenting on the second blessed Hadees, Hakeem-ul-Ummah Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan Na’eemi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـه عَـلَيْه said: It is learnt that business is superior to all professions. Amongst the profession of trade, dealing in grain is the most superior trade, then clothing and then dealing in fragrance. Trade related to the necessities of life and religion is better than other types of trades. A truthful Muslim businessman is a very fortunate person because he attains the privilege of being raised with the blessed Prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ وَالـسَّـلَام
