even imagine it. When I stood in the court of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ for accountability, He Almighty said: My bondsman! Tell me! What have you brought for Me? I replied: O Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ! I have bought 60 Hajj. I received the answer: None of these are accepted. Hearing this, I began to tremble with fear. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ asked again: Tell me! What else have you brought for me? I replied: 1000 dirhams in charity and alms. I received the answer: I have not accepted even one dirham. I said: O Merciful Lord! Then I am destroyed and there is only destruction and ruin for me. The Merciful Lord then said: Do you remember once you left your home going somewhere and saw a thorn in the path and you removed it so that others would not get hurt? I have accepted that one action of yours and due to this, I have forgiven you. (Hikayaat-us-Saliheen, pp. 51)
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Virtuous actions do not go to waste
Dear Islamic sisters! From the above mentioned parable, we learn that sometimes a virtuous action that may look small can be a means of attaining salvation. That’s why one should not think of any action as being small and ignore it, because any virtuous action performed to please Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ never goes to waste.
اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه due to the blessing of performing virtuous actions with sincerity, one can be saved from big problems:
٭ Due to the blessing of virtuous actions, one is able to gain the pleasure of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.
