۔1The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘Whoever offers condolences to an afflicted person, he will be rewarded equivalent to the afflicted person.’(Tirmizi, vol. 2, pp. 338, Hadees 1075)

۔2The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘Whichever believer offers condolences to an afflicted person, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will make him wear clothes of nobility on the Day of Judgement.’(Ibn-e-Majah, vol. 2, pp. 268, Hadees 1601)

٭Meeting whilst smiling is also an act of pleasing others. The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘You cannot please people through your wealth but your meeting them with good character can make them happy.’ (Shu’ab-ul-Iman, vol. 6, pp. 254, Hadees 8054)

٭Removing troubles of others is also an act of pleasing others. The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘Whoever removes a single worry of a Muslim, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will remove one worry of his from the worries of Judgement Day.’ (Muslim, pp. 1049, Hadees 2580)

٭Giving more time to struggling debtors is a good deed, as well as an act of pleasing others. The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘Whoever likes that Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ grants him a place in the shade of His throne on the Day when there will be no shade other than it (i.e. Throne), he should give respite to a debtor or forgive his debt.’(Attargheeb Wattarheeb, vol. 2, pp. 24, Hadees 18)

٭Fulfilling needs is also a means of pleasing others. The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘As long as a bondman continues to fulfil the needs of his brother, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ will continue to fulfil his needs.’ (Mu’jam-uz-Zawa`id, vol. 8, pp. 353, Hadees 13823)
