Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم for persuasion to adopt the passion of pleasing the grief stricken Ummah of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and being a well-wisher for them:
۔1The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘Love for other people whatever you would love for yourself and whatever you do not like, do not like for others either. When you speak, speak good, otherwise remain silent.’ (Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal, vol. 8, pp. 266, Hadees 22193)
۔2The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘A believer remains in his religion until he wishes well for his Muslim brother and when his well-wishing leaves him, then he is deprived of the blessing of taufeeq.’(Firdaus-ul-Akhbar, vol. 2, pp. 429, Hadees 7722)
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Methods and virtues of pleasing others
Dear Islamic sisters! There are many actions that could be deemed as pleasing others when performed with good intentions. Let’s listen to the virtues of some of these actions in light of blessed Ahadees:
٭Visiting the sick is such an action that is an excellent way of pleasing others. Let’s listen to 2 virtues of visiting the sick:
۔1The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘Whoever visits a sick person, an announcer addresses him and says: ‘Rejoice because this walk of yours is blessed and you have made your abode in Paradise.’ (Tirmizi, vol. 3, pp. 406, Hadees 2015)
۔2The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has stated: ‘Whoever visited a sick person, until he does not sit down, he is diving in the river of mercy and when he sits down, he submerges in the mercy.’(Musnad Ahmad, vol. 5, pp. 30, Hadees 14264)
