Gunahon ki Nahusat

Book Name:Gunahon ki Nahusat

The intelligent person is he who knows well of the destructions brought about by sin and firmly plants this in his heart and mind. He not only avoids sin but also performs good deeds, ultimately resulting in him pleasing Allah. With great regret, the outcome of being far from Islam and lacking Islamic knowledge is right in front of us. Sin surrounds us from all four directions. Wherever we look we find misguidance, negligence and lack of practical action. This is despite the fact that by turning away from the commands of Allah, the outcome is nothing but destruction and ruin.

10 harms of sinning

Dear Islamic brothers! Sin never ever leads to good, and it contains nothing but harm. We will now discuss 10 of these harms and try to understand just how severe this matter is.

Amīr al-Muʾminīn, Sayyidunā ʿUmar bin Khaṭṭāb رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ explained:

Do not deceive yourself in regard to this statement of Allah:

مَنۡ جَآءَ بِالۡحَسَنَۃِ فَلَہٗ عَشۡرُ اَمۡثَالِہَا ۚ       وَ مَنۡ جَآءَ بِالسَّیِّئَۃِ فَلَا یُجۡزٰۤی اِلَّا مِثۡلَہَا

Whosoever brings one good deed, for him there are therefore ten like it; and the one who brings an evil deed, he will therefore not be recompensed but to its equal.[1]

Although only one sin may have been committed, it carries ten evil characteristics with it. When a person sins:

1.   It displeases, and Allah is fully capable of giving punishment on His displeasure;

2.   it makes Satan happy;
