Namaz Ki Ahmiyat

Book Name:Namaz Ki Ahmiyat

fast is not valid even if he is aware that it is Ramadan.[1]

*    If someone makes an intention in the evening to fast tomorrow then eats during the same night, the intention is not void. It will suffice and there is no need to renew it.[2]

*    If an intention to fast is made during the night, but it changes and now you intend to not fast, the initial intention is void. If a new intention is not made, the fast will be invalid even if you stay hungry and thirsty throughout the day.[3]

*    If an intention to break the fast is made whilst you are fasting, the intention alone does not nullify the fast.[4]

*    Eating at the time of suḥūr is an intention to fast, irrespective of whether it is for a fast of Ramadan or another purpose. However, if an intention is made not to keep a fast, then eating at this time will not be regarded as an intention.[5]

*    It is necessary to make a new intention for each fast of Ramadan.

*    If an intention to observe all the fasts of Ramadan is made at the beginning of the month or another date, this intention will suffice for the current day and not for the remaining days.[6]
