Namaz Ki Ahmiyat

Book Name:Namaz Ki Ahmiyat

Pious Deed 2

Let’s make an intention that we will never miss a prayer from now on
اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه. We will offer the five prayers in the masjid with the congregation اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه. We will encourage others to pray اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه. We will populate the masājid اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه. In order to develop a pious mindset, affiliate yourselves with the Islamic environment of Dawat e Islami and participate in the 12 religious activities of the zehli halqa. Also travel with the Madani Qafilahs and fill in the Pious Deeds booklet. Pious deed number 2 from the Pious Deeds booklet, written by the leader of Ahl al-Sunnah, Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ, states:

Today, have you offered the five daily alahs with JamāꜤat (congregation)? (May we never miss  offering Ṣalah in the first row with Takbīr-e-Ūlā [i.e. the first Takbīr].)

Through the blessings of acting upon this deed, we will become consistent in offering the five daily prayers in the masjid with the congregation.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                          صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! We learnt about the significance and virtues of prayer. Prayer is a pillar of faith, it protects us from illnesses, grants blessings in sustenance, it is a means of blessings, it is light in the grave, and it is protection from punishment in the grave. Whenever the noble Quran commands us to pray, it is telling us to fulfil the obligations and wājibāt of the prayer. It is wājib for men to pray in congregation, and the Aḥādīth inform us of many virtues of this deed. Here are three blessed statements of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم for encouragement:

1.   The prayer in congregation is 27 times superior to the prayer offered by a person alone.[1]
