Why did Satan become rejected?

Dear Islamic brothers! Now, let us discuss who Satan was and what led to him being rejected by Allah Almighty for eternity.

Before being ill-fated and accursed, Satan used to worship Allah Almighty in abundance and was the leader of angels, despite not being one himself. The final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم explained, “Angels were created from light, whilst Iblis was created only from fire.”[1]

When Allah Almighty commanded Satan to prostrate to Prophet Adam عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, he instead remarked, “O Allah! You have given him virtue over me, even though I am better than him. You made me from fire and him from clay. You want me to prostrate to this creation made of clay?”

Allah Almighty declared, “I do what I will.” All angels prostrated to Prophet Adam عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, but Satan refused out of pride.
