Khai Walon Ka Waqia

Book Name:Khai Walon Ka Waqia

They ask why they still face trails despite this. They ask why Muslims are in poverty and hardship whilst disbelievers enjoy every luxury imaginable, from wealth to good quality of life.

Why is this the case?

There is a simple answer to this. It is mentioned in hadith:

اَلدُّنْیَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤْمِن وَ جَنَّۃُ الْکَافِر

The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever.[1]

Now think: what happens in a prison? They are places of difficulty, troubles, worries, scarcity, and hardship. As Muslims, this means the same things will certainly come to us in this world.

The responsibilities of a Muslim

Allah proclaims in the Quran:

اَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ اَنْ یُّتْرَکُوْۤا اَنْ یَّقُوْلُوْۤا اٰمَنَّا وَ ھُمْ  لَا یُفْتَنُوْنَ (۲)

Do people think they will be left as they say, “We believe”, and they will not be tested?[2]

In Tafsīr Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān, it says, “We learn Allah shall test believers as per their strength of faith. Illness, poverty, problems; these are tests from Him which differentiate the sincere from the hypocritical.[3]
