than the Companion MuꜤāwiya رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ. He made Syria the centre of Islamic rule, and it never had this position before.
Now we learn: when the Torah said مُلْکُہٗ بِالشَّام as in, the Prophet’s kingdom will be in Syria, this was fulfilled via the kingdom of MuꜤāwiya رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ.
سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه This is the rank of MuꜤāwiya رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ. Allah declared that his rulership was the rulership of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
We learn three amazing points from all this.
1. The excellences of the Companions are excellences of the Prophet
The virtues and excellences of the Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم are not only their praise, but also praise of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
MuꜤāwiya رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ is an esteemed Companion. Allah mentioned his kingship in the Torah, but in which way? Was he mentioned directly? No, Allah described a wondrous quality of his Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and MuꜤāwiya رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ was made a reflection of it.
So, when we speak about the ranks and excellences of the Companions, we are praising the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
When we praise Abū Bakr, ꜤUmar, ꜤUthmān, ꜤAlī, MuꜤāwiya, or any other Companion رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, it is of course them being praised, but also, it is praise of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. This is because the rank the Companions received was because of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
