Gaflat Ka Anjam

Book Name:Gaflat Ka Anjam

Dear Islamic brothers! We now know that we will awaken from our heedlessness when we die. We feel immense regret at that moment, wishing that we were given just a little more time to do good deeds. We will wish we had spent our lives trying to please our Lord and not in heedlessness. Yet, there will be no use in feeling regret at that time.

So, the wise person is the one who avoids heedlessness during his lifetime whilst amassing good deeds and takes the lamp of the Sunnah with him after death to illuminate his grave. Otherwise, if Allah and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم are displeased with us, we will be left with nothing except regret.

No time given to distribute wealth

Sayyidunā Abū Bakr b. ꜤAbdullāh al-Muzanī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه narrates the following story:

There was an individual from Banī Isrāˈīl who amassed many possessions. When the time of his death approached, he said to his sons, “Show me my various possessions.” His many horses, camels, and servants were brought to him. When he looked towards them, he began to weep regretfully.

When the Angel of Death saw him crying, he asked, “Why are you crying? By He who granted you all of this, I will not leave until I separate your soul and body from one another.”

The man replied, “Give me some time to distribute these possessions.”

The angel replied, “You will not receive any more time now, why did you not do all of this before death arrived?”
