Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat's Advice for Children
We Should Fast!
Dear children
Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat, Allamah Muhammad Ilyas Qadiri دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ states:
Young boys and girls should keep fasts as long they are able to, their parents allow it, and nothing prevents them. If they are in a routine of fasting from an early age, they will be able to easily fast when they are older.[1]
Beloved children! Ramadan is a month of great mercy and blessings. We should fast in this blessed month, according to our ability. If we cannot fast due to a valid reason, it makes sense for us to show respect for Ramadan by not eating and drinking in front of those who are fasting. Sometimes, children buy sweets or foods and eat them in front of everyone. We should never do this.
