The last month of the Islamic year is Dhū al-ijjah. There are many hadith which explain the virtues of this month. Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam, and it is performed during this month. The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “There are no days more beloved to Allah that He be worshipped in them than the first ten days of Dhū al-ijjah.”[1] The blessed day of Arafah occurs on the 9th of Dhū al-ijjah. The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “There is no day in which Allah sets free more souls from the fire of Hell than on the day of Arafah.”[2]

All Muslims should spend this month seeking forgiveness, repenting and praising Allah Almighty.
