know how to pray should never feel ashamed of learning. There are people who know how to pray but fall prey to the whispers of the Devil, ‘We are grave sinners, how can we present ourselves in the court of Allah?’, ‘We will become pious first and grow a beard before praying’, and so on. Such people must break free from these satanic chains and perform the prayers regularly. Through the blessings of this, they will refrain from sin اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه. The noble Quran states:

اِنَّ الصَّلٰوۃَ  تَنْہٰی عَنِ الْفَحْشَآءِ  وَ الْمُنْکَرِ ؕ

Translation from Kanz ul Irfan: certainly, the prayer prevents evil and indecency.[1]

Mufti Sayyid NaꜤīm al-Dīn al-Murādābādī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه writes regarding this noble verse:

If someone offers the prayers consistently and well, one day he will abandon the evils he is involved in. Sayyidunā Anas رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ reports that a young Anṣāri, who often prayed with the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, performed major sins. Someone mentioned this to the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and he said, “His prayer will stop him from committing those sins.” In a short time, the young man repented and his spiritual condition improved.[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                          صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

It is unfortunate that there are many people who offer the prayers regularly but cannot abandon impermissible deeds. Why is this the case? Dear Islamic brothers! We could be overlooking the outward and inward sunan and etiquettes of prayer, which is why we are still
