understand the importance of the prayer, here are four warnings for those who abandon the prayer.

1.   Sayyidunā Abū al-Dardāˈ رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said, “My close friend [the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم] advised me, ‘Do not associate anything with Allah, even if you are cut and burned. Do not neglect any prescribed prayer deliberately, for whoever neglects it deliberately, protection is raised from him. Do not drink alcohol, for it is the key to all evil.’”[1]

2.   The one who abandons the prayer will meet Allah with Allah displeased with him.[2]

3.   The one who neglects the prayer has diminished his family and wealth.[3]

4.   Whoever deliberately abandons the prayer is no longer in the protection of Allah Almighty and His Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.[4]

Mufti Aḥmad Yar Khan NaꜤīmi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states:

The one who abandons the prayer is no longer within the protection of Allah Almighty. Through the blessings of the prayer, one is protected from the calamities of this world, a faithless death and failing the tests of the grave. On the Day of Judgement, by the grace of Allah Almighty, he will be protected from difficulties.[5]
