I call you towards Me, but you go towards others.

وَا َذْہَبُ عَنْکَ الْبَلَایَا  وَ اَنْتَ  مُعْتَکِفٌ  عَلَی الْخَطَایَا

I remove your difficulties, but you are insistent upon sin.

مَا اِعْتِذَارُکَ  غَداً  اِذَا جِئْتَنِیْ

What will be your excuse tomorrow when you meet Me [on the Day of Judgement]?^[1]

Dear Islamic brothers! This call is a warning for us. If only we understood it and worked towards bettering our spiritual condition. Make an intention to recite the Prophetic supplication daily in the morning:

لَبَّيْكَ اَللّٰهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْكَ

I am present. O Allah! I am present. I ask you for prosperity, and all goodness is in Your power.

Recite this supplication regularly, reflect upon its meaning, and act upon it. Show your obedience to Allah Almighty by performing good deeds, obeying His commands and submitting yourself to Him. May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to act upon this.

اٰمِیْنْ بِجَاہِ خاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                                                                       صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
