Ya ALLAH! Mein Hazir Hon

Book Name:Ya ALLAH! Mein Hazir Hon

(The fear of Allah Almighty is of two types:

1.   The fear of Allah Almighty’s punishment and the fear of being held accountable for our sins. This is applicable to sinners like us.

2.   The fear of Allah Almighty that the saints possess is the fear of Allah Almighty’s secret plan, being distant from Him, and the removal of His blessings.)

Imam Zayn al-ꜤĀbidīn رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ possessed the second type of fear. Once, he wore the iḥrām to perform Hajj, and his face turned pale. He رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ was overcome by the fear of Allah Almighty, and he was unable to recite the talbiyyah (i.e. لَبَّيْك اَللّٰھُمَّ لَبَّيْك). The people asked why he was not reciting it, to which he replied, “I fear that when I say لَبَّيْك اَللّٰھُمَّ لَبَّيْك, Allah Almighty will say لَا لَبَّيْك, i.e. that my presence is not accepted in His court.” The people responded, “It is necessary to recite the talbiyyah when you wear the iḥrām.” So, Imam Zayn al-ꜤĀbidīn رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ acted upon the Islamic ruling and recited the talbiyyah, but he was overwhelmed with the fear of Allah Almighty and fell unconscious. This continued to happen throughout the pilgrimage whenever he recited the talbiyyah, in Minā, ꜤArafah and Ṣafā and Marwah.[1]

May Allah Almighty have mercy upon Imam Zayn al-ꜤĀbidīn رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ and forgive us without accountability for his sake.
