Hum Q Nahi Badaltay

Book Name:Hum Q Nahi Badaltay

*     Use a common path to the cemetery that does not pass over old graves. Avoid any newly created paths over burial grounds. It is mentioned in Radd al-Muḥtār, “It is prohibited to walk on paths created by destroying graves.”[1]

*     Even if there is a doubt of it being a newly created path, walking on it is sinful and impermissible.[2]

*     It has been observed at many shrines, that the graves of Muslims are levelled to create walking paths or sitting areas for visitors. Walking, standing, sitting to recite, or even engaging in dhikr on such areas is haram. One should make dua from a distance in this case.
