First, here are two Aḥādīth.
1️) The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “Whoever sets out on a path to seek knowledge; Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him.”[1]
2️) He also said, "When a person leaves his home in search of knowledge, angels become pleased with his action and unfurl their wings for him."[2]
* Travelling to seek knowledge is a tradition of the pious predecessors.[3]
* There is no doubt that asking questions to acquire knowledge is a source of virtue, but one must observe the manners of questioning.[4]
* Knowledge is a treasure and asking questions its key.[5]
* One should not feel shy when asking questions for the sake of learning.[6]
* Flattery is not a characteristic of a believer, except when done for acquiring knowledge.[7]
* Avoid asking unnecessary questions that hold no benefit in this world or the Hereafter.[8]
