Chairman of Dawat-e-Islami’s Central Executive Committee, Mawlana Muhammad Imran Attari

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه Under Dawat-e-Islami’s Jamiat al-Madinah, alongside efforts for improved education, arrangements are made for special training sessions where students are trained on various moral, practical and societal perspectives. In relation to this, on one occasion, the Chairman of Dawat-e-Islami’s Central Executive Committee, Mawlana Muhammad Imran Attari presented pearls of wisdom in connection with increasing their capabilities. These are presented here:

1. In order to develop attachment to studying, the noble students should make a practice of reciting alāt.

2. The walking and eating of a student of religious, in fact all that he does, should be in accordance with the Prophetic Sunnah.

3. A student of knowledge should know so many forms of alāt that he should be able to read them interchangeably (so that passion increases with the recital of different forms).

4. Recital of alāt is the best action for the one who yearns to see the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.

5. Divulging someone’s secret prevents being told to that person (i.e., that person will not inform the divulger of any hidden matter again.

6. Whoever Allah Almighty wills to take religious effort from, He facilitates the pathways for religious work for him as well.

7. The reviver of Islam, the Imam of Ahl al-Sunnah, Imam Amad Razā Khan’s رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه time would all be spent on propagating the religion. He would sacrifice his time from Ar to Maghrib to resolve the issues of his disciples and devotees.

8. With regards to the arrangements of Imam Amad Razā Khan’s daughters, Mawlana asan Razā Khān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه undertook them himself, so that he would not face any obstacle in carrying out his services for the religion. Upon this, Imam Amad Razā Khan رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه mentioned the following historic words concerning his younger brother, “Hasan Miyan, in my service for the religion, there is a portion for you as well.”

9. Mawlana asan Razā Khān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه would prepare Imam Amad Razā Khan’s pen so that he would not have to spend time doing it himself.

10. Dedicating his book, Jannati Zewar to his wife, Sayyidunā Allāmah Abd al-Muṣṭafā al-Aamī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه stated, “My wife has freed me up from domestic matters for academic and religious services.”

11. Those noble students that are imams of masājid should not only offer their obligatory units at their place, but also the sunan and voluntary units. They should also attempt to solve the problems of the prayer congregants as much as possible.

12. Students of Dars-e-Niāmī should be aware of the fatāwā of Dar al-Ifta and the tribulations of the age.

13. Students should develop self confidence within themselves and should eliminate the mentality of “I cannot do it,” or “I do not know how to.”

14. We are embarrassed if we do not know of a few words in English on some occasions, whereas when we are unaware of Islamic nomenclature we do not feel any shame.

15. Students should give up the thinking of “What will happen to me when I graduate?” Study wholeheartedly, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه, you will become an erudite scholar; Is this a small wealth?

16. Alongside the standard of education, those doing the 41-day Pious Deeds course to teach organisational skills were favoured. Now, those noble teachers who have completed 12 months and possess practical and academic capabilities will be favoured.

17. There is still time to do something now, so do it. You will not find an opportunity later.

18. He is not a man who follows society. A man is the one whom society follows.

19. Do not colour yourself in the hue of society, rather colour society in your hue.

20. Certainly, undertake the specialisation test after graduating so that you know where you stand.

21. Alongside knowledge, experience, wisdom and understanding have their own value.

22. A Muftis action and knowledge discourse declare that he is a Mufti.

23. Let alone our Muftis (from Dar al-Ifta Ahl al-Sunnah), our deputy Muftis do not fall short when it comes to action and knowledge.
