Book Name:Quran Kay Huqooq
How is it possible to live a complete and full life?
It is fair to say that each and every one of us has a desire for our lives to become beautiful, full of goodness and filled with a sense of fulfilment. If we were to look back into history and ask: Who had the most beautiful life? Who had the most complete life? Who had the most excellent life? Then every Muslim would certainly respond that the best of all lives on this earth was the blessed life of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
How did he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم live his blessed life? The mother of the believers, Sayyidatuna ‘Aaisha Siddiqa رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا beautifully captured this in three words: کَانَ خُلْقُہُ الْقُرْآن - “The character of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was the Quran.”[1]
4. Recitation - the fourth right of the Holy Quran
The fourth right of the Holy Quran is its recitation. An unfortunate reality of our society is that we do not recite the Holy Quran. There are even countless memorizers of the Holy Quran who only open it once a year in Ramadan. This should not be the case, as
* We have been encouraged to recite the Holy Quran morning and evening, day and night.
* Reciting the Holy Quran is a superior act of worship.[2]
* One receives the reward of ten deeds for reciting one letter of the Holy Quran.[3]
* Mercy descends when the Quran is recited; the angels give shade with their wings, and tranquillity descends.[4]
