صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

The Companion’s love for Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

Dear Islamic brothers! The Companions رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُم always wanted to meet with and be around Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, day and night. They beheld his blessed face, watched him speak words of wisdom, and observed his elegant and graceful actions.

Yet, as soon as they came home or spent even a while away from him, restlessness overcame them. They could never see the Greatest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم enough; they always wanted to see him again and again. An Anṣārī Companion رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ once came to the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and said, “O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, I love you more than myself, my children, family, and wealth. If I cannot see you, I feel as though I will die.”[1]

سُبْحٰنَ اللہ This was the disposition of the Companions رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُم in their love for the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. They could never get enough of seeing him.

Attar’s way of loving the Prophet  صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

الحمد للہ For the sake of the Companions عَلَیْہِمُ الرِّضْوَان, the Ameer of Ahl al-Sunnah was also blessed with this disposition. If he is in his own land, he yearningly recalls the city of Madinah. When in the blessed city, his emotions and love overwhelm him. When leaving, he clings to the walls in tears.
