اللہُ اکبر Dear Islamic brothers! This shows how loving the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is not only obligatory upon a believer but takes precedence over our love for all other things in creation.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Attar’s love for the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

Dear Islamic brothers! Just as Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri stands out for his many qualities, he is also uniquely distinguished by his love for the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. This love means his entire life has been spent practicing the sunnah. From his heart, he sincerely, truly, and wholeheartedly loves the Greatest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. This love even extends to the city of the Prophet, as evidenced by a title he is known for; ʿĀshiq al-Madinah – “He who loves Madinah.”

He is even seen crying in love and longing for Madinah. When he remembers the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, such emotional states overcome him, that those watching begin to shed tears themselves.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Inheriting the Companion’s loving dispositions

Dear Islamic brothers! Every Sunni Muslim with correct beliefs loves Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Yet, the way in which the Ameer of Ahl al-Sunnah expresses his love in this regard is unique.

The Prophet’s Companions عَلَیْہِمُ الرِّضْوَان loved him the most. If we observe the life of the Ameer of Ahl al-Sunnah, one can clearly see he inherited the disposition of the Companions رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُم in terms of their love for the Greatest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
