feeding him. She said she wanted the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم to perform taḥnīk first. This was despite the child having been born at night; subsequently, he was not given anything until morning.

The newborn was presented to the Greatest Prophet [1], who proceeded to place a date in the child’s mouth and name him ꜤAbdullāh.[2]

There are many more stories like this. The Companions رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُم did not feel any happiness in something unless the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was there. When something sad or upsetting occurred, their sanctuary was the Greatest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and they would turn towards him first when afflicted with grief.

Famously, the Companion ꜤAbdullāh b. ꜤUmar’s رَضِىَ اللهُ عَـنْهُ foot once became completely numb. Someone suggested, “Remember who you love most.” He immediately called upon the beloved Prophet Through the blessings of this, his foot returned to normal.[3] There are even examples of the Companions wounded on the battlefield, near to martyrdom, calling out to the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in their final breaths.

Consider the famous poem of the Prophet’s great-grandson, Imam Zayn al-ꜤĀbidīn رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, which he recited at Karbala. When the tragic and heart-breaking incident of Karbala took place, the imam recited the following poetry to the beloved Prophet
