Book Name:Ala Hazrat Ka Shoq e Ilm e Deen

The teacher taught him how to recite بسم اللہ and the alphabet, and the imam repeated after him. The teacher moved on to the next lesson and said, “Say لَام، اَلِفْ.” The imam remained silent. The teacher repeated himself and imam said, “I have read these letters already. Why are you teaching them again?” His grandfather intervened, “Son! Listen to your teacher!”

The imam did not say anything after his grandfather’s order, and the teacher continued with the lesson. Yet, after receiving a curious gaze from the imam, the grandfather knew he was not content. Seeing that the imam had asked a deep question, he realised his level of intellect and intelligence was far beyond that of an ordinary child. He felt as though this young imam would go on to become the leading name in Islamic knowledge.

So the grandfather said, “اَلِفْ is always silent and it is not possible to read it on its own. What you read previously was not اَلِفْ but ہمزہ. Right now, you are learning about whenلَامْ  is attached to اَلِفْ.”

The imam asked another question, “If this is the case, then why not teach  بَا اَلِفْ or جیم اَلِف. Why is اَلِفْ attached to لَامْ?”

After this, his grandfather hugged him out of love, made dua for him, and exclaimed:

There is a deep connection between لَامْ and اَلِفْ. When we write لَامْ the middle letter is اَلِفْ, and when we write اَلِفْ the middle letter is لَامْ. It is as if اَلِفْ is the heart of لَامْ, and لَامْ is the heart of
